A fine antique Bronze Statue of an Oni finely detailed casting in the finest Japanese tradition of bronze works. Cast in three pieces body pined to base. Measuring 17"T x 15"W x 11D.

Original pen and Ink drawing "Girl on the Beach" by Frank Van Sloun signed lower right. Renowned painter, muralist, etcher and educator. Van Sloun studied in New York City under Robert Henri and members of the Ashcan School. Memberships included the San Francisco Art Association, the Carmel Art Association, Bohemian Club, Society of Mural Painters and California Society of Etchers. Image 8"L x 11"W.

A beautiful Chinese export porcelain famille rose medallion large center bowl circa 1900. The bowl hand painted with traditional rose medallion motif of floral and butterfly designs plus mandarin figures and court scenes. Measuring 12 inches by 4 inches deep in excellent condition one minor restored flea bite to rim and some wear to enamel. A fine example.

Chinese antique carved Zitan wood foo dogs of the finest quality. Tested and dated at Stanford University lab. Genuine antique Zitan wood. Measuring approx. 12 inches tall and weighing each approx. 10 lbs. Signed and dated in excellent condition some cracking due to age shrinkage otherwise pristine. A fine pair would make a nice addition to any fine asian collection.

Thad Emory Leland by John Hovard 
 ◦ The paintings of Thad Leland reflect his enduring association with the horse including the cultural spectacle of the Peruvian Paso, polo horses and racing thoroughbreds. Working in pastels, oils, acrylics, and watercolors, Thad Leland left a beautiful legacy of the spirit and tradition of the horse, its cultural harness and how man interacts with this spirit. 
It all started for Leland when he was a boy in Michigan, exercising the fine horses of Detroit millionaires. He went home and sketched these horses, which began the lifelong journey to recreate the spirit and beauty of the horse. 
Thad Emory Leland was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1914 and passed away in Pebble Beach, California, in 1987. He studied art at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan, received a B.A. in fine art from the University of Michigan where he studied with Sarkis Sarkisian and John Carroll. 
Before the war, he exhibited throughout Wisconsin and Michigan, and was awarded a mural commission for the New York World's Fair. After World War II he received a masters degree in fine art from Stanford University. In the early 60s, his diligence to study equestrians continued with his painting and sketching of polo events at Pebble Beach, thoroughbred racing at Bay Meadows and Golden Gate tracks, and western riding events at the Salinas Rodeo and Monterey County Fair. He became sought after for commissioned portraiture.

Fine pair of antique Chinese Famille Rose porcelain vases finely hand painted with court scenes of Mandarin figures with applied molded dragons and foo dog handles. Late Ching Dynasty circa 1880s measuring approx. 14 inches 35 cm. Tall and 7 inches 17 cm. At widest point. In excellent condition one vase has a small repaired chip to the underside of the rim not affecting the value or Beauty of these exquisite vases.

A beautiful and rare Tiffany Studios etched bronze and art glass box with a butterfly and rare early chrysanthemum or carnation pattern. Signed Tiffany Studios New York measuring 8 inches square. In excellent condition great patina.
