Original finely detailed watercolor of a Neoclassic architectural interior design by Daniel MacMasters (1893-1981). Unsigned from a collection of his works. MacMorris was a renowned portrait painter, muralist, illustrator, decorator and designer. His New York City studio was above Carnegie Hall. Leon Baskt original pencil watercolor and gouache on paper signed lower right and dated 1911. This image was used for a cover of a Russian theater ballet presentation for
La peri with Natasha Trouhanova as the Peri. Measuring approx 21 x 33 cm or 8 x 13 inches. In good condition some light fading of watercolor with a collectors stamp lower left image otherwise in excellent condition. Provenance Library of Art and Archeology France.
Portrait of a Woman by Emile Kosa Jr. signed lower right on heavy watercolor paper. In excellent condition measuring 15" x 20".
Kosa exhibited at Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 1940, the Biltmore Salon in Los Angeles in 1941. He also showed his works in many other locals nationally including the Carnegie Institute, the Denver Museum, and the Frye Museum. He won dozens of awards in California and nationally from 1928-1961. He is represented in many museums across the United States including the LACMA, the Santa Barbara Museum, the Boston Museum of Fine Art, and the San Diego Museum. Kosa worked in both watercolor and oil. He painted many portraits including the official portrait of Governor Earl Warren. He also painted landscapes, seascapes, figures, and floral works.
Cattle by a Stream by Leopold Rivers signed lower right and dated 1862. The Victorian artist Leopold Rivers was born in London in the mid-19th century. A landscape and watercolor painter and designer, he was the son and pupil of the well-known British artist William Joseph Rivers, who had also exhibited from 1843 to 1855 at the Royal Academy and British Institute. Known for his romantic and atmospheric landscapes depicting the country life in the counties and shires around London, Leopold also found success in his artistic career. He exhibited widely, hanging 188 paintings at the Royal Society of British Artists, where he was honored with a membership. He exhibited 55 paintings at the Royal Academy Sulfolk Street Gallery from 1873. He was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists, Sulfolk Street in 1890 and at the Royal Academy from 1873 to 1904, and at the Royal Institute of Painters of Watercolors.

In excellent condition measuring Approximately 12 x 15 inches signed lower right framed in a beautiful impressionist style frame. Provenance; Mrs Henry Harriman with a signed notation by Rodin stating Hommage and respect a Madame E Henry Harriman 1913. Auguste Rodin had been commissioned to do a bust of her husband this appears to have been a gift to her in 1913.
Watercolor painting of stone statues at Easter Island by Robert W. Daley member American Water Color Society. Daley became director of the Civic light Opera Company. He also enjoyed painting set designs and went on to create important murals throughout the western states. In 1952 at thirty years of age Robert headed for N Y C and built an art career as a watercolorist and mural painter. He was active and successful in winning top awards for his art including American Watercolor Society, American Academy of Arts and Letters. etc. With his love for the sea he spent several years as artist -in- residence on cruise ships M S Sagafjord and Vistafjord of Norwegian-American lines. Owner of his own gallery in Lenox Ma brought him in contact with hundreds of clients for his art. He was also a resident in Ft Lauderdale, Fl. While living in the south he created a mural for the Royal Palm Yacht Club in Boca Raton. I met Bob Daley at Tyringham Gallery and at an exhibition at his new studio in Windsor, Berkshire Hills, and Western Ma. He was working on his over-sized water color paintings of landscapes and floral designs. Condition is excellent measuring approx. 11" x 21".
